How it works
What is a Fun-in-a-box Rental
Fun-in-a-Box was created by Chunky Chungus LLC, meant to bring together and out of boredom for a weekend. We rent ready-to-play activity kits, Like movie night boxes, crafting party kits, 3D printing weekent, kareoke speakers and different games and equipment, with everything needed for a full weekend of fun at home.
How long do we get to keep the box?
Most of our box rentals are designed for weekend use. However some are for a day, be sure to check up the specific of each box.
We typically drop off Friday and pick up Sunday evening or Monday, depending on what works best for your schedule.
Do I need to throw a party to rent a box?
Each Fun-in-a-Box includes all required equipment, instructions, warnings and accessories needed for the activity.
Every box is different, but everything you need to play is included.
We also offer some add-ons for an extra cost to personalize your experience or just save you a trip to the store.
What ages are the boxes best for?
Our boxes are designed for elementary-aged kids and adults, because who doesn’t love a good old karaeoke session, or watching a movie under the stars in your backyard? Some work well for teens and mixed-age groups.
Each box description lists recommended age ranges. Please read them and make sure the box is apropriate for your childs age.
What time of activities do you have?
We know every family is different and so are our boxes, we have high energy boxes that will keep you hyped like nerf battles, the Nex Playground Console , speakers and microphones for a kareoke night or glow dance party with DJ lights.
And we also have a more relaxed variety of boxes, like the sleepover party tents, projector and screen for a movie night (Or to watch a Bills game with the friends..) Scanvenger hunt or Escape Room boxes with easy instructions to follow that you can set up at home, or craft party kits were you choose between a paint party (paint and sip anyone?) or a create your own bracelets party sessions.
Can the boxes be used indors and outdoors?
We have a variety of boxes, some can be used both indoor and outdoor. Please review each box recomendations before booking.
Do you offer customizations or add ons to the boxes?
YES! we love a personalized experience, we can do custom Tshirts, hats, and everything in between.
And you can also improve your experience by adding additional equipment to your package.

How do I book a Party-in-a-Box?
Booking is quick and easy, everything is done online and confirmation is inmediate.
Simply choose your box, select your dates, read and sign the rental contract and waivers, pay online and thats it.
Once booking is complete we will contact you for arrange a time for pick up or delivery window of time that works.
If you have questions, feel free to contact us before booking.
Do you offer same-day or last-minute bookings?
Absolutely! Same-day or last-minute bookings may are available depending on inventory and scheduling.

Do you offer discounts for multiple boxes?
Yes! We offer discounts when you rent two or more boxes at the same time.
It’s a great option for an more personalized experience, for example you can rent the movie night experience with the Tpee sleepover bundle, to make your weekend even more unique.
Pick up and Delivery
How do you schedule the time for delivery?
Once booking is complete we will contact you to set up a pick up or delivery window of time so you can make arrangements. Once we get there we will review that everything you ask for is the box, and same for when we do pick up.
Can I do pick up instead?
Sure!, Just choose pick up option when you are booking and we will contact you to arrange a pick up time that works for both.
What areas do you serve?
We’re based in Lewiston, NY and serve families throughout Niagara and Erie County like Youngstown, Ransonville, Sanborn, Wilson, Weathfield, Grand Island, Tonawanda, North Tonawanda, Lockport, Amherst, Cheektowaga and Williamsville and everything in between.
We are all about offering local families a budged family friendly experience.
Do you set up the equipment for us?
We do not offer on-site setup or equipment supervision.
Our service includes delivery and pickup only.
All boxes are designed to be easy to use, we include easy to follow instructions and warnings for each box, and we ask that all equipment and instructions be placed back in the box and wiped down or rinsed before pickup.
Clean and safety
Are the rentals cleaned and safe?
Absolutely. All equipment is cleaned, inspected, and sanitized between rentals.
Safety and cleanliness are a top priority for us, Im a mom too and totally understand the importance of sanitizing the equipment before delivering it to your family.
Are you insured?
Yes. Chunky Chungus LLC is a locally owned and insured business.
We’re committed to doing things the right way, following New York State laws so families can rent from us with confidence.
Do I need to clean the equipment before return?
we ask that all equipment and instructions be placed back in the box and wiped down or rinsed before pickup.
What happens if equipment is damaged during use?
We understand normal wear and tear is fine. We inspect every equipment before delivery to make sure it is working properly.
However, if equipment is damaged beyond repair or has brocken or missing parts, the renter will be liable to cover repair or replacement costs.
We always assess situations fairly and communicate openly. When you are booking your box, please review the applicable damage or reposition fees for your specific booking, the booking contract states that client authorizes to charge the repair or damage fee if the equipment gets damaged because of abuse or misuse during the rental period.
Is your Nerf equipment safe?
Safety is VERY important to us.
We do our best to provide age-appropriate equipment and alway recommend wearing safety googles and adult supervision all time during play.
We include protective eyewear and basic safety guidelines are included to help keep Nerf battles fun and safe.
What happens if the equipment I rented is not working properly?
We test and check everything before and after every delivery. However if your equipment presents a malfunction during use please give us a call as soon as posible and we will do our best to make it right.
Canceling, rescheduling and extra fees
What is your cancelation policy?
We understand that plans change. Cancellations must be requested at least 72 hours before your scheduled delivery for a full refund. (Tuesday before your Friday rental)
This helps us plan inventory and serve other families. All booking and policy details are provided during booking,
Can I reschedule my rental?
Are there late fees for returns?
Our rentals are designed for flexible weekend use, with pickup or drop off coordinated in advance.
Late returns without prior approval will result in additional fees charged to the card on file, all fees for each box are detailed in the booking contract.
Do you charge a cleaning fee?
Not usually, however we ask that all our equipment be returned reasonably clean—wiped down or lightly rinsed if needed.
If equipment is returned excessively dirty and requires extra or profesional cleaning time, a cleaning fee will apply. Please review the booking agreement extra fees for each box.
What if bad weather affects our plans?
We understand WNY weather can take a turn for the worst, especially around winter time, so if you need to reschedule because of a travel advisory or ban was issued my the authorities in your location, we totally understand safety goes first for everyone and are open to reschedule your booking to a date available for no extra charge.
Can I add boxes or change my add ons after I booked my box?
Yes, just contact us and if its available we can add it to your booking
Fundraising for schools and youth sports
Do you work with PTSAs and Youth sports for fundraising activities?
Yes! we want to support our local PTA groups with their fundraising activities during the weekdays, like consession snack rental equipment or our movie night packages, please contact us and we can work out a plan that works best for all
